Complications: 
 Identify potential complications associated with lip filler procedures.
 Develop the ability to diagnose complications and implement effective
treatment strategies.

Practical Sessions: 
 Experience hands-on learning with one model assigned per participant on the
training day.
 Apply the knowledge gained in the theoretical components through
supervised practical sessions.

Cannula:
 Minimize bruising and discomfort, especially in the lip body.
 Description: Utilizing cannulas in distinct sections of the lip, this technique is
particularly advantageous in areas prone to bruising, ensuring a more
comfortable injection experience.

Cupid’s Bow & Philtrum Reshaping:
 Create or reshape the Cupid’s bow for enhanced lip definition.

The price of our 1 day Basic Dermal Filler Training Course is €950 which can be book via our website.

A deposit of €295 is required to secure a place on this course. Full course price must be paid 7 days prior to the course date.

Assessment

  • Delegates competencies will be assessed at the end of the course day by our trainers.
  • Should any delegate fail to meet the requirements on the day, they will be invited to attend further training in order to continue to build their skills to the required level. (Please note; this would be at an additional cost to the delegate)

How will I be assessed
History Taking:
-Ability to gather relevant patient information, including medical history and
pertinent details for safe and effective treatment.
Clinical Aesthetic Judgment:
-Proficiency in conducting a thorough physical examination and exercising
sound clinical judgment in evaluating patient suitability and potential risks.
Understanding of Indications for Treatment and Technique:
-Demonstration of a comprehensive understanding of the indications for the
chosen treatment, knowledge of anatomy and physiology and proficiency in the
procedural techniques.
Informed Consent:
-Competence in obtaining informed consent, ensuring that patients are well-
informed about the procedure, potential risks, benefits, and alternatives.
Preparation:
-Demonstrates appropriate steps in preparing patients for the procedure,
considering both physical and psychological aspects.
Appropriate Analgesics:
-Knowledge and application of suitable analgesics to ensure patient comfort
during and after the procedure.
Safety:
Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines throughout the entire procedure to
ensure the well-being of the patient.
Technical Ability:
-Proficiency in executing the technical aspects of the procedure, including
precision and skill in achieving desired outcomes.
Aseptic Technique:
-Adherence to aseptic principles and techniques to minimize the risk of
infection during the procedure.
Post-Procedure Management:
-Competence in post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications,
providing appropriate post-treatment instructions, and ensuring patient comfort
and safety.

Participants are evaluated based on these criteria to ensure a comprehensive assessment of their capabilities and readiness to perform the procedures covered in the training course.

Certification

  • On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a certificate of training, which is Insurer-Approved

Completion

  • Upon completion of this course you will receive all course material (treatment plan, medical history, pre and post care, examples).

You have a number of options after your Basic Dermal Filler Training Course at Cosmed Aesthetic Training Academy.

  • Start Practicing Independently: Your Basic Dermal Fillers Training Course permits you to gain insurance to inject botulinum toxins safely and effectively to your patients within your aesthetic practice.
  • Advanced Dermal Filler Training Course: We recommend all practitioners to complete our advanced course which will allow you to further develop your skills while expanding your treatment offering to patients.
  • Yes. During the practical session the delegate will take part in the assessment and treatment of a patient under the supervision of the tutor.
  • Each delegate is expected to bring their own model to assess and treat.
